Bhubaneswar: After the BJP came to power for the first time in the State, the State Government is taking several initiatives to make the State a developed one. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is taking many decisions, especially in the education sector. Meanwhile, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has come up with a major update. The National Education Policy will be implemented in Odisha soon. Various universities and colleges have been in talks with the state government. State Higher Education Minister Suryavanshi Sooraj was present on the occasion.

It is to be noted that the process of implementing the National Education Policy in the state has been started by the committee formed by the state government. In August last year, a high-level meeting was held with Chief Minister Majhi, Higher Education Minister Suraj, Vice-Chancellors of various universities, Registrars, Principals of colleges and academicians. The meeting also discussed the National Education Policy. Discussions were held on what are the problems in NEP-2020 and how prepared Odisha is to implement it.
